Use your combined strength to coordinate your approach and defend each other from surprise attacks or tackle overpowered enemies.Īcquire new gear, level up your character, and become more powerful to rise up against the Lost. You sure as hell aren't going to do that with Warrior blood code though.Team up with an AI partner or a friend in co-op multiplayer and venture out into a world of destruction in this story driven connected dungeon experience. I kind of doubt that playstyle works very well given how Ichor works in this game, but whatever. If that's what you are doing, by all means skip Bridge To Glory. Now, you can argue for mage build that doesn't care about weapon damage for whatever reason. You get the stagger regardless of whether or not you have the buffs as well. That's neither here nor there really, we're talking about damage and damage buffs. The stagger on barrage spells is also quite nice. I never said 2hand builds aren't viable, it's just that ANY build that cares about melee damage and does not have Bridge to Glory is trash.Īnd yes, the stagger on 2hand is nice. Of course, you can and SHOULD use Bridge to Glory with a 2hand build as well, which was my point. Add in other buffs and the damage goes up significantly. Bridge to Glory ALONE makes a 1hand equivalent damage per hit to a 2hand. throw on swift destruction as well (which you'd probably never use with 2handed) and it goes to 1684 on a light swing. With Warrior, 2hand mastery, Judgement Edge +10 Devour and no buffs I do 1541 with a light swing. With Isis, 1hand mastery, swift destruction, and Executioner +10 devour using Bridge to glory (just 1 buff), I do 1573 damage on a light swing. ![]() I have in fact, I used a 2hander for most of my first playthrough. You clearly haven't used alot of 2-handers have you? even without the buff you will still do far more damage, adding dark gifts into the mix only multiplies your already huge stagger capability even more, bearing in mind that you can also utilise the on-hit shockwave gift and the good drain buff as warrior. Originally posted by Sotanaht:Congradulations, you do less damage per hit with a slow 2hand than a decent build does with a fast 1 hand, to say nothing of gifts which do even more. You MIGHT consider adding fire/ice to blazing claw/iceblood respectively, as the damage increase is fairly noticeable against enemies weak to the element, but that's only good for specializing. Really it's the best choice for nearly any build. ![]() This means lower DPS unless you are using mostly weapon skills.įor all of the above, Devour transformation is your best choice for a magic hybrid build. Use Alleviation on your blood veil to get back to Quick.Įnduring Crimson is technically higher damage than Executioner, plus lower weight, HOWEVER it attacks slower, especially the 4th hit in combo. However, with Executioner you will hit exactly 50 weight with Ivory Grace, which puts you down to normal speed. If the enemy IS resistant, the best option is Executioner. ![]() Equip Ivory Grace (or recolor) to maintain the lowest possible weight and very high light+dark gifts, so you can use all three (including melee) on one build.Īs for weapons, Iceblood and Blazing Claw do the most damage if the enemy is not resistant, especially with Bridge to Glory active. Both magics work with Isis, it's my preferred blood code as well. ![]()
